Yesterday I mentioned that Kerry Urbatch also has a color challenge. I played around yesterday after and I was able to come up with something to enter her color challenge as well as use the sketch again. To check out her color challenge you can go here: http://creativebloomsjourney.blogspot.com/2015/04/fsjcc3-april-color-challenge.html
As you can see I used Pool Play, CS-0092; Rich Coral, CS-0093; River Stone, CS-0094; and Sweet Pear, CS-0095. I used the Rock Candy Ink, IP-0028. The stamp set I used was Kimono Kids, SS-0049. If you would like to purchase any of these items you may do so by contacting me or by going here: http://www.funstampersjourney.com/97
I hope you enjoy my “Thank You” card and please stop by and visit Kerry’s challenge.
I want to enter my card in Creative Blooms Color Challenge and the Sketch Challenge #FSJSC3.
I have a couple of friends that opened a new challenge blog. I am stumped on the color part of the challenge for now but I did the sketch part this morning. To see the sketch you can go here: http://creativebloomsjourney.blogspot.com/2015/04/fsjsc3-april-sketch-challenge.html
Kerry Urbatch draws the sketches herself. She does a fabulous job. I used Fun Stampers Journey Whip Cream, Huckleberry Fusion, and Beach Breeze cardstocks. I used Huckleberry Fusion and Hazelnut Blend inks from Fun Stampers Journey. The stamps from Fun Stampers Journey came from the Stamp Sets Sea Side Treasures, SS-0071; Nautical View, SS-0060; and Happy Sails, SS-0045. Happy Sails and Nautical View are both on the retired list so if you like them then you need to take advantage of our retired sale and order them now before we run out of stamps because once they are gone there won’t be anymore! The ribbon was just some that I had in my stash and I thought that it had a kind of wave appearance. If you would like to purchase anything that I used on my card then you can contact me or go here: http://www.funstampersjourney.com/97 That’s it for now. Thanks for visiting.
Entered in Creative Blooms Journey Challenge #3 FSJSC3
I have only had the opportunity to make one of the cards from the April Kit of the Month so far and this is the one. I truly love Fun Stampers Journey’s Kit of the Month because it makes it so easy to put together 4 different cards real fast just by following the directions that they have given you or if you like to think a little outside the box then you have that option as well. It is always nice to have a card ready for whenever you need it. I made this one on a day when it was raining hard and we were under a flash flood watch. We need the rain and I do want it to rain but I miss the sun when it is gone too. (Like having my cake and eating it too I guess.) Anyway, the card brightened my day and hopefully when I send it out it will brighten someone else’s day as well. See you again soon.
Unfortunately sometimes we have to make these types of cards. It’s unpleasant especially if we wait until the moment is upon us where it is a necessity. I needed to have one of these so I thought that I would see what I could do with watercolor. I used Fun Stampers Journey’s Lantern Treats Stamp Set #SS-0122. I took out my Tim Holtz Distress Ink pens and a water spray bottle. The “Deepest Sympathy” is stamped in FSJ’s Hazelnut Blend Ink, #IP-0012, using the Thoughtful Greetings Stamp Set from Fun Stampers Journey, #SS-0081. The top paper is watercolor paper. The middle paper is FSJ’s Watermelon Fusion, which comes in 8.5″ x 11″, #CS-0039, or 12″ x 12″, #CS-0070. The base of the card is FSJ’s Whip Cream, which also comes in two sizes, 8.5″ x 11″, #CS-0040 or 12″ x 12″, #CS-0042. If you would like to purchase any of these items from me you can do so by going here: www.funstampersjourney.com/97
Please come visit again as I will be adding more cards. Thank you and your comments are always welcome.
We all have a need for thank you cards and I had to make three of them. I used Fun Stampers Journey’s Sweet You Stamp, #SS-0099, and the FSJ Ornamental Dreams Stamp, #SS-0063. I used Copics to color the flowers and I used Wink of Stella to go around the lacy looking stamp. Honestly just a simple card to express deep gratitude. If you would like to purchase either of these stamps you may do so by going here: www.funstampersjourney.com/97
I know that you would enjoy the stamps. And I would love to have you follow or join the Journey with me! Until later Ciao!
I made these two cards from the March Kit of the Month. However, I changed them a little. I used vellum to make the bottles so that you could see through them. On the top card I used every shade of orange that Fun Stampers Journey has to make it look like a sunset behind the bottle and then I cut it out in a circle. I changed the twine and wrapped it around the top of the bottle. I also added a little bit of a wave to look like water.
On the second card, other than using vellum, I just changed the position of the bottle. I love the Kit of the Month club because you get the stamps and four packages with instructions to make 4 different cards. You can make them exactly like the instructions say or you can change them up just a little bit like I did. If you are interested in joining the Kit of the Month or learning more about Fun Stampers Journey please leave me a message here or go to www.funstampersjourney.com/97
I have another card to share. I will post it tomorrow. Until then adios and buenas noches.
Well after being in Midland for my Mom’s surgery, then Florida for 16 days, and back to Midland for another 8 days to help my Dad with my Mom’s rehab we have finally returned home and I needed to get back crafting to relax my soul. Richard Garay, Co-Owner and President of Fun Stampers Journey has a Make It, Live It, Share It that our team has been wanting to win. This was my first opportunity to enter so I grabbed the chance and joined in. I used stamps from the fabulous set called “Spring Fling” – SS-0076. I made the same treat basket that Richard did but I used the banana cream cardstock, CS-0087. I used the Oatmeal Cookie Ink, IP-0011, to stamp my images in. I stamped the images on butter cream cardstock, CS-0006. I shredded some Limeade Splash cardstock, CS-0020, in our shredder to make the grass to put inside the basket. The labels under the images were made out of scraps that my friend, Belinda, had at her house. I also sprayed the bunny with a mixture of water and Journey Glaze, AD-0002, then sprinkled on some Journey Sparkle Dust, AC-0013. I made the basket of goodies to give to my downline, Kathy Metz-Amaral. Here are the pictures:
